As the new year time of year unfolds, it’s the perfect time to step into your highest self with mindfulness practices that nurture both inner and outer beauty. By weaving together mindful movement, nourishing meals, intentional adornment, and creative meditation, you can set the foundation for a year of confidence, clarity, and joy.

What we eat is an expression of self-love. Creating plant-based meals not only fuels your body with wholesome ingredients but also grounds you in the present moment through the ritual of cooking. The Tiny Home Big Flava Cookbook is filled with vibrant, nourishing recipes that make healthy eating approachable and exciting.
Many of you have heard me share in the past about my struggles of over/under eating and body dysmorphia. In recent years I have been more focused on what I consume rather than how much I consume in order to fuel my body with wholesome ingredients that allow me to thrive, find joy and in turn love myself and others more. To fully honor the new you for the year, I encourage you to choose mindful consumption and take away the focus on what you look like but focus on how you feel. Once you can align what foods make you feel great you start to gravitate more towards them.
So in this time of reinventing yourself for a fresh start with New Year New You energy - Imagine crafting a delicious rainbow bowl filled with fresh veggies, grains, and a flavorful dressing. Release any fear or guilt around consuming the bowl and find enjoyment and love in what you are crafting for yourself to be energized and fueled by. As you chop, blend, and plate, you’re practicing mindfulness through the simple joy of creating a meal that nourishes your body and soul.

Lately I have been discovering some great new recipes on my Facebook. I have been saving them on my notion and giving them a go - here's one of my recent favs.
What we wear is an extension of how we feel inside. Adorning yourself with intentional pieces of jewelry can be a powerful reminder of your inner beauty and strength.
I don't know about you but when I wear a bold pair of dangly earrings I feel powerful, feminine and ready to take on the day. My new you goal is to wear jewelry more, embody the person I want to be perceived as more often and taking just a moment in my morning when I get ready to throw on a pair of earrings makes the world of difference to my mindset. So when sitting at my jewelry bench my goal is to create adornments that inspire and empower you to be your most confident version of self so you can fully embody your New Year New You vibes.

Another practice that I have as a part of my daily ritual of getting ready for the day is keeping my jewelry visible and accessible. I find when pieces are out of sight they are out of mind. If I am reminded by a piece in the morning when I am brushing my teeth I am more likely to wear it and embody that confident version of me that I desire being every day.

Let me straight forward here - Coloring isn’t just for kids — it’s a powerful mindfulness tool that can help you relax, focus, and connect with your creative side. When I sit down to color or draw I sink into a flow state, a place where all my fears, stresses, worries and negative thoughts and feelings dissipate and I am fully immersed in the color, the creativity, the exploration where space and time become non existent. I just am.
When I created the Eunoia Coloring Book/Journal I wanted to bring moments of peace and clarity to your day through this feeling of being in a flow state. Not only is it a great space to be in on your own, but when coloring in good company theres a feeling of companionship, unity and joy. I love sitting down with my daughter to color and create together, we fully embody the creative inner child within where space and time don't matter, other than where we are right now and the moment we are existing within. Yoga is a beautiful way to connect your mind, body, and soul. It’s not just about physical movement but also about cultivating presence and awareness. As I age I have noticed more and more the importance of movement. Lately I have been exploring pilates to build and tune into the strength that my body and specific muscles have. When I am not moving I feel the stiffness and tension building, so even if for a moment laying down on the floor for a spinal rotation or some light stretching when watching a show in the evenings have become a part of my daily ritual.
